The Seven Rivers Radio Network, a group of four community radio stations (KIDE in Hoopa, KHSU at Humboldt State University (Arcata), KMUD in Garberville and KZYX&Z in Mendocino County), was joined by KVMR in Nevada City for the broadcast of a special program on the growing localization movement. Localization groups that have formed in Laytonville, Ukiah, Willits, Anderson Valley, the Mendocino coast, Garberville and Grass Valley all contributed to the show. Issues explored by these groups included developing fossil-fuel free local food and energy systems, energy efficient transportation, land-use and urban planning, and sustainable building methods.
